OBN participate in DEMO CHINA2007 activities in september6, 2007. DEMO becomes a Golden Stage for its original standard option of innovative companies around the world and innovative technologies in the past 17 years. In 2007, "The Golden Stage" moved to Beijing, and moved to Tsinghua, guest xiongxiaoge speech at the ceremony talked about: Beijing is a paradise for entrepreneurs. After attended the show in sep 6 and sep.7, we realized that, if we say that Beijing is a paradise for entrepreneurs, then the activities organized by the Tsinghua DEMO CHINA put up a ladder leading to heaven for those who have the top technology entrepreneurs.

 

We went to prepare the show in Sep 5. In the packaging so prevalent today, but DEMO does not allow to do any business activities except the technology, such as Gifts, Imitation Show were strictly prohibited, as the real technical exchanges provide fair space. We have not only been got communicate opportunities with the technical directors of outstanding multinational companies, but also directly display the latest technology and philosophy in our company to the venture capital fund managers. OBN is a professional company that focuses on the development of EPON systems, joint creation by the NewMargin Ventures and Tsinghua Science Park. So far, our customers cover China Telecom, Netcom, CATV, Public Security system and other special organizations; the EPON platform of Ocean Broadband Networks is able to carry variety of services, such as 3 networks’ combination, video surveillance, interactive Television, 2-way improvement on China Cable, high definition television, VIP customers’ access and enterprise private line, etc.

 

Our management and R&D team is the first International blazers that research and development EPON products, since 2000 launched in the United States Silicon Valley, and the earliest in 2002 into China. There are 48 existing R & D staffs; more than half of them have over 10 years of working experience in research and development of transnational telecommunications equipment companies. Beijing Ocean Broadband Networks was registered in August in 2004 in Tsinghua Science Park, till now we have got fifty million RMB joint investments by NewMargin Ventures, Tsinghua Science Park, NACSE Angel Fund and Atlas Venture. In April 2005, OBN made product samples and participated in the China Telecom on the first GPON test. Two months later, our products have been included in the pilot network of China Telecom, in November, this network is commercially. In just one year on the establishment of commercial contracts, we completed a very smooth start. In 2005, our company selected into Red Herring magazine of Asian list, "the most potential for growth of 100 private high-tech enterprises."

 

Stay in ascendant optical communications network industries, OBN entered a period of rapid development, the strict requirements on product technical performance, as well as the exploration of new areas make the capital and talent demand increases.
